The Advanced Battery Systems supervisor will lead a team to develop technical solutions to the toughest challenges facing high-voltage batteries including safety, cost, charging/performance, and energy density. In addition to developing new battery technologies, the supervisor will also be responsible for managing battery test facilities and supporting R&A powertrain development projects.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do…
- Lead team to deliver battery system technology projects by:
- Supporting development of technology roadmap to address key technical challenges.
- Structuring and managing projects on technology roadmap.
- Leading technology transfer to Product Development.
- Lead team to provide batteries required to validate novel powertrain technologies within R&A.
- Manage battery testing labs - including daily operations and executing capital projects - and streamline processes to improve lab throughput.
- Leverage team knowledge to provide corporate support for key battery issues.
- Manage intellectual property for battery system projects/technologies.
QualificationsYou'll have…
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of battery system experience and deep knowledge of system design requirements.
- Proven cross-functional, cross-organizational project leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience delivering new technology from development phase to validation and handoff.
- Multi-disciplinary understanding of EV components that interact with high-voltage batteries.
- Experience with battery testing
- Experience with engineering systems and robustness tools (e.g. FMEA, DVP&R)
- Self-motivated with the ability to lead multiple, concurrent tasks.
