Job Summary:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for maintaining the entire fleet in "like new" condition to ensure the timely movement of all product.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Mechanical diesel equipment knowledge including troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Performing and analyzing diagnostic tests on diesel equipment using fleet computer software
- Troubleshooting and repairing onboard hardware technology.
- Responsible for scheduling and delegating tasks to fleet mechanics.
- Direct supervision of all jobs performed on fleet.
- Responsible for TMT program maintenance including PM's due, work order repairs and parts inventory.
- Responsible for communication with Transportation Manager, Office Manager, Plant Manager and General Manager to ensure efficiency of fleet.
- Responsible for proper purchasing and expenditures according to budget.
- Responsible for cleanliness of interior and exterior of fleet.
- Back-up the Transportation Manager including driver dispatching and all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced training and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a fleet mechanic.
- Class A CDL license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with and knowledgeable of repairing and maintaining diesel equipment.
- Ability to lead; can give and take direction.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
- Self-starter; self-motivated.
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations.
