OUR PURPOSE
SunCommon believes business should create positive change and help solve the world’s biggest problems. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to solar power in our communities because ensuring a habitable planet is the most important work of our lifetimes.
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
SunCommon is a market leading renewable energy company operating in Vermont and New York’s Hudson Valley and Capital District. SunCommon is a division of Clean Royalties, LLC. We are an innovative clean energy company focused on advancing renewable energy solutions in an effort to help save mother earth. Our work offers intellectually stimulating challenges and meaningful opportunities for growth, driven by a collaborative, talented, and dynamic team.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Solar Home Advisor (SHA) is a member of SunCommon’s residential sales team. Solar Home Advisors will have access to some“company generated” leads to drive early sales. A successful SHA will then build and leverage their own network of self-generated leads, contacts and referrals to create a robust pipeline of residential solar projects and customers. As such, this role requires outgoing folks who love meeting new people, have a strong work ethic and a well-structured, entrepreneurial approach. As a certified B-Corps, our mission is to break down barriers to solar and use our business as a force for good, and Solar Home Advisors are core to driving this important work.
The SunCommon sales process is a consultative approach to educating customers on the growing role that solar is playing in our clean energy future and how individual home owners can participate in the energy revolution being led by our company. Most of our customer visits are virtual visits during normal work hours Monday-Friday, but we are there for our customers to follow up when they need us — nights, weekends, rain or shine.
The Solar Home Advisors are the face of SunCommon for our customers and are expected to carry themselves in the utmost professional manner. They are knowledgeable, adaptable, and confident, with a high degree of customer service and professionalism and a penchant for accuracy. They excel at developing long-lasting customer relationships through active listening, communication, and the demonstration of solar expertise. They have a good technical grasp of how solar energy works, how solar projects are permitted and the benefits of group net-metering – and they are innovative, customer-focused solutions providers at the core.
