We are looking for an experienced SITE SAFETY COORDINATOR to be assigned to a projectbased out of the Dateland, Arizona area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The safety coordinator will provide day-to-day direction, leadership, coaching, and sound judgment to eliminate or reduce at-risk environments and behaviors in the workplace.
Conduct accident/incident investigations, near miss, property damage, assist with claim management, and implements corrective action items to avoid reoccurrence.
- Review client contracts, develop site specific safety plans, attend kick off meetings, and assist in close out meeting action items.
- Perform orientation training for new employees, equipment training, FA/CPR, NFPA 70E, CSE, etc.
- Maintain a schedule for equipment testing such as CSE, arc rated equipment, etc.
- Assist with developing and revising JHA's, SSSP's, PowerPoint training slides, and other safety programs.
Assume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electric Management.
SKILLS:
- Excellent written communication skills. Proficient with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to type.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
- Works efficiently under tight time frames, responds to requests in a timely manner, and communicates effectively as a team player.
- Understands the importance of being able to multi-task.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety and Heath (or similar field).
- Fluency in CFR 1910/1926.
- 3-5 years' experience in a safety management role.
- Ability to speak in front of public
- Familiarity with hazards associated with electrical installations.
- Strong planning, prioritizing, and presentation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Multi-lingual
- OSHA 500 Outreach Instructor
- CHST, CUSP, ASP, CSP certifications
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Application
