What impact you’ll make:
The Director – All Poles IT D&A Leader for Gas Power Information Technology is responsible for, but not limited to, managing a portfolio of and delivering new cross domain data analytics and automation solutions, for all three Gas Power (GP) Pole businesses (Americas, Asia and EMEA), that drive standard work, daily management and operating rhythms.
This role requires intense collaboration with the GP Pole business teams, the GP Services business line, GP global IT functions, GEV Data & Analytics, AMS partners and others to successfully drive SQDC outcomes.
The D&A leader will also be the voice of Pole business analytics and automation needs to the respective GEV and GP global IT functions.
Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Deliver business critical Data & Analytics and automation solutions and simplify the existing landscape, with a strong focus on standardized ‘All Pole’ solutions.
- Partner with the GP Pole businesses, the GP Services Continuous Improvement team and the respective GP global IT functions to drive Standard Work, and carefully prioritize the development of new D&A and automation solutions, as well as, enhancements of existing solutions.
- Partner with the GEV global D&A function and the respective global IT functions to drive architecture and solution standardization, and Standard Work.
- Work closely with the respective global IT functions and Epic Leaders to contribute to the development of relevant D&A, automation and application strategic roadmaps – be the ‘voice of the regions’.
- Establish and sustain a governance structure that identifies key performance indicators, sets milestones, and establishes a reporting cadence to the GP OCIO Leader and GP-IT leadership.
- Form cross functional teams, comprising business and IT staff, to rapidly resolve complex non-standard IT related problems.
- Effectively plan and manage the All Poles IT D&A budget and resourcing, and work seamlessly with selected strategic partners, in close cooperation with the GEV and GP D&A community.
- Effectively lead and coach other members of the All Poles IT team and vendor partners, on Data & Analytics and automation related activities.
- Act as thought leader for the use of Data & Analytics to drive critical business decisions and business strategy.
- Be a Lean and agile ambassador, demonstrating a continuous improvement and standard work mindset.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent.
- 10 years of IT professional and leadership experience.

- Existing GP Pole business, GP Services Continuous Improvement team and global IT function leadership network, and track record of rapidly developing effective working relationships and influencing business and IT partners.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of Gas Power business strategies and operational processes.
- Highly effective communicator, with experience in interacting with and presenting to IT and business leaders.
- Experience in Lean inclusive of presenting in monthly operating reviews, establishing KPIs, daily management and standard work, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Relevant GE/GEV leadership program graduate (e.g. DTLP).
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile principles and tools used for effective team and work management.
- Experience in establishing and leading high-performance teams amid process and organizational transformation.
- Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are ambiguous.
- Ability to rapidly form and lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems.
- Self-Driven, autonomous, and can proactively identify and remove obstacles for organization.
- Experience in effectively planning and managing a budget and associated resources.
