Job Description:
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for managing all energy products including Renewable Energy PPAs, Power Exchange transactions, bilateral agreements, group captive arrangements, and third-party transactions.
o Responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, from identifying a customer requirement to contract renewal. To work in team to prepare and submit a winning bid, and involved in every stage of the bid lifecycle.
o Develop and execute a robust sales strategy, with a focus on B2B sales within the renewable energy sector.
o Maintain cost revenue for a sustainable business model, ensuring profitability and growth.
o Lead deal structuring, PPA closures, energy accounting, billing, and commercial and risk allocation in contracts across short, medium, and long-term durations.
o Provide expert guidance on PPAs, REC (Renewable Energy Certificates), RPO (Renewable Purchase Obligations), and power transactions.
o Offer investment assistance for renewable energy asset development.
o Develop and implement power purchase and sales strategies based on regional policies and commercial opportunities.
o Participate in tender processes for power sales/purchases and RFQs for retail clients and state utilities.
o Develop financial models based on power pricing and open access regulations to support decision-making.
o Build relationships with intermediaries such as electrical contractors and consultants for regulatory approvals and scheduling of power transactions.
o Attend industry and regulatory conferences to network and identify new PPA opportunities.
o Coach and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and effective working environment.
- Renewable Energy Off-Take:
o Provide advisory services for RE project development and investors, focusing on solar, wind, and hybrid projects.
- Open Access and Captive Structuring:
o Structure third-party and captive arrangements for intra and interstate open access, assisting commercial clients in optimizing their energy costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Masters degree preferred), UPES or NTPI pass outs is mandatory.
- 6+ years of experience in business development and power trading within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in contract management, deal structuring, and financial modelling.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, power markets, and renewable energy technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
