Position Summary:
Semper Solaris is looking for an organized and motivated Solar Inspection Technician for our Solar Operations department. The Solar Inspection Technician will perform a wide variety of electrical operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and a genuine care to his/her craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Prep completed installations for final inspection by the local building departments
- Schedule and meet with local departments for final inspections
- Meet and communicate with homeowners about final inspection timelines
- Commission solar monitoring systems
- Complete basic electrical configurations
- Troubleshoot systems
- Develop positive working relationships with city inspectors
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in residential solar and electrical
- Knowledge of solar industry and NEC code
- Ability to work independently and with minimal direction/oversight
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid CA driver’s license
Preferred:
- Comfortable working with a variety of technologies
- Strong time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong commitment to a successful customer experience
- Good problem-solving skills
- Willingness to find answers to field issues and communicate them effectively
- Ability to prioritize work and work under sensitive time restraints
- Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills
Pay Rate: $25-$28/hr. Depending on Experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly, and be comfortable with heights of at least 20 feet and walking on all roof types
- Able to work in various weather conditions and in extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
