Job Description DS Energy Solutions is looking for a highly experienced Solar Installer for our corporate location in Victorville, CA. The highly experienced Solar Installer will join a fast-paced, dynamic organization focused on changing how the world uses energy. RESPONSIBILITIES · Assist with job setup and installation of solar panels on roof mounts, ground mounts, and carports · Remove this sentence · Work with crew members to complete projects within established policies and procedures · Assembly of solar array racking, properly sealing roof penetrations, and installation all relative equipment · Install (remove rack) grounding and DC wiring to inverters. Install and connect modules · Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety · Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues · Communicate with customers and sub-contractors in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner · Read and comprehend plan sets, and assess job sites at a high-level · Handle final inspections with AHJ’s · Installation of electrical equipment. · Work with electricians in all aspects of residential and commercial construction QUALIFICATIONS · Able to work with minimum supervision · Able to work in a team environment · Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail · Able to work in various positions including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time · Comfortable working at heights and in attics · Willingness to travel and stay in hotels · Must have a full range of mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions and environmental conditions · Customer service skills
· Conflict resolution skills and the ability to communicate effectively · Able to wear protective equipment such as harnesses, hard hats, work boots, and protective eyewear · Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work comfortably on a roof all day REQUIRED · Must have a valid CA Driver’s License (required) · Must have 5 - 6 years of previous commercial solar installation experience (required) · Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record check and drug screen · Clean driving record a must · Must Have a reliable source of transportation to and from work
