This is an exciting opportunity to support the mission to drive wing-to-wing customer solutions by delivering competitive proposals and executing projects with excellence. The Plant Systems Leader will act as first point of contact for all design activities leading to the creation of the plant P&IDs and manage all related interfaces with the different COE as well as with external partners and customers. The Plant System Leader shall play a crucial role to improve the change management process, reduced hand-offs and reduced risks through an improved focus on system integration during the execution of customer projects. The Plant Systems Leader reports to the Manager of Systems Architects Team.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all Plant and Interconnecting Piping P&IDs.
- Act as first point of contact for all design teams in PSSC during OTR projects and provide the interface management between the systems.
- Ensure the maturity of contractual deliverables prior to P&ID release through a proactive coordination with all involved parties and anticipation of possible changes coming from external or internal interfaces.
- Make reliable information available to the project through rigorous Design Reviews and change management process.
- Maintain a set of a standard P&ID and Schematics library including associated standard lists and make it available during ITO to ensure reliable input for BOQs and external interface points definition.
- Work closely with Electrical System Engineering to ensure clear interfaces to the P&IDs and Plant concepts.
- Create best in class execution process that leverage global standards and best practices for EPC partnering to manage the risks while generating predictable and repeatable results.
- Provide input to influence the existing engineering tool landscape to maximize the automation of the work and digital data transfer.
- Provide ideas and contribute to ongoing continuous product and process quality improvement initiatives, including improving the maintainability, modularization, performance, compliance safety, cost, and reliability of designs.
- 100% accountable for safety, quality, on time and on budget delivery of the engineering documents assigned to you and your team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Significant experience in Systems Engineering of combined cycle power plants.
- General technical knowledge of the various systems forming a combined cycle power plant and good understanding of the their operation and design principle as well as how they interact together
- Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary activities in ITO, project execution and concept development in the field of large thermal power plant.

- Strong familiarity with GE core technologies (GT, ST, generator accessories, HRSG and overall plant) and with a system approach.
- Be a change agent capable of influencing at all organizational levels.
