Bioenergy DevCo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Maryland Bioenergy Center located 7900 Oceano Avenue, Jessup MD. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting services. They will support the Maintenance Technician with maintaining the facilities electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure continuous system workflow and operations. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a Mechanical, Process or Electrical Engineering bias
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Technical Certification or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or similar preferred
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with all aspects of a Wastewater or other similar process plant environment, such as landfill.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft is essential. Must be able to complete spreadsheets, reports, emails and operate the SCADA control system
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative manner
- Effective problem-solving ability
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify faults at plant is crucial, including basic electrical faults.
- Proven ability to manage small team of Service Engineers
- Experience in producing and following Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment documents
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to plants and stay as needed
- Live within a commutable distance to Jessup, Maryland
