The Blades Material Systems Department (BMS) is part of the Blades Procurement Category, which is included in Vestas Direct Material Procurement Organisation. BMS is responsible for the management and development of the global supplier base of 4 commodities, with different systems and materials, within the Blades product area, through cross-functional teamwork in the context of Module and Category Management.
We are responsible for developing the supply base short, medium & long term to always be able to satisfy requirements (KPIs) regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost, and thereby contribute actively to improve the competitive capacity of the group. All are targeted at optimizing the Total Cost of Ownership and thereby maximizing our value contribution to Vestas.
Responsibilities
- Global responsibility for the supply chain of a specific assigned scope
- Develop, maintain, and support the strategy of the scope assigned
- Govern and structure the supplier relationship, lead and conduct business review meetings and negotiations to ensure the full value of the supplier base and the integration hereof into the strategic direction of the commodity
- Lead and manage specific projects cross-functionally with an end-to-end perspective
- Stakeholder management within a matrix organization, bringing the regional perspectives into the global context
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant education
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience within Procurement
- Advanced skills in PPT, Excel & Word
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)

- Desire and ability to supervise (projects, suppliers, stakeholders) with solid communication skills
- Structured and fact-based approach to ensure that the strategy and initiatives are prioritized and implemented
- Ability to guide the team and secure joint team decisions and an open, constructive team dialogue
- A positive mindset: you are able to see the big picture from Vestas' product offerings towards customers and the ability to connect these to supplier offerings and how they can positively impact Vestas sales and cost-out programs
- Solid analytical skills with a natural ability to determine the core of the problem to be solved
- Result-oriented, persistent and strong in navigating a varied and complex working environment
- Great collaboration skills (you will have a very broad interface - both internally and externally - and will work closely with people from all over the organisation and on all organisational levels)
