This role will contribute to the implementation and progress reporting of Zurich’s Underwriting transition plan and wider sustainability strategy. Focus will be, but is not limited to the implementation and reporting of the CSRD governance related KPIs.
This role will contribute to the Zurich Sustainability Reporting on the Group’s Underwriting and Commercial Insurance Portfolio. Work will include working to ensure the definition of key KPIs, the subsequent implementation and reporting of the Swiss Ordinance and CSRD governance related KPIs and their definition and implementation at a Group level (individual BU reporting is out of scope).
This role is currently fully funded for two years.
What you will do
- Coordinating the implementation of transition plan relevant KPIs and narrative to meet internal portfolio management and external regulatory reporting requirements and UW relevant Group disclosure (e.g. Net Zero Customer Engagement, screening for transition plans/ zero routine flaring commitments)
- Understanding of Sustainability related regulation (particular focus on CH, US and EU CSRD)
- Build up the process of Sustainability report production, ensuring high quality standards and appropriate internal assurance is in place
- Liaise and collaborate with Group Sustainability and Group Sustainability Reporting teams; liaise and collaborate with other stakeholders as required (e.g. Investment Management, IT)
- Ensure that tracking and reporting needs are integrated into existing tools/systems to facilitate an automated delivery where appropriate.
- Closely collaborate with internal partners (including technical/data specialists) and build strong relationships with Group stakeholders
- Ability to work with technical database experts, and support technical solutions to reporting requirements.
- Project management activities regarding CSRD & other regulatory framework reporting implementation.
- As part of a dynamic team in a fast evolving area, there is ample opportunity to contribute to development of expertise across sustainability topics, including the requirements of regulation/ disclosure, and sharing across the UW and CI community
- As the regulatory discussion on Nature Impact evolves, work with the team to further develop our position in a timely manner
What you bring
- Relevant experience in reporting and communications
- Strong interest or knowledge in underwriting / sustainability / sustainability reporting
- Technical, quantitative, and analytical skills and the ability to interact with IT architects/database experts.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Project management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
