Part-Time Guest Services Representative (15-24 hours per week)
This position requires a friendly, outgoing, and patient disposition at all times. The Guest Services Representative must be able to handle cash and charge transactions. This person also needs to stay updated on the park history, daily schedule and special events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sell and process tickets and memberships, handling payments and issuing receipts.
- Provide excellent guest service by greeting visitors warmly and addressing their questions and concerns.
- Offer information about ticket options, membership benefits, and promotions.
- Resolve ticket or membership issues promptly and professionally.
- Promote events, upgrades, and additional services to enhance guest experience.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum 18 years old.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Strong cash-handling skills.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries, requests or complaints from guests and/or staff in a kind and courteous manner.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Needs to be able to think logically and solve problems with little or no guidance.
- Must be able to communicate with guests and staff clearly and effectively.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, holidays and evenings.
- Multilingual is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, reach or feel and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk distances, balance, stoop, bend, kneel and crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
Ability to work outside in weather conditions typical of South Florida
