Senior Solar PV System Designer – Remote Work/Work from Home₹5-8,00,000pa

As a solar PV system designer joining our team, you will be challenged by complex, high-pressure assignments that will directly impact our clients and the company. This is an opportunity for you, an ambitious individual to make a significant and positive impact on the organization by working as a member of cross-disciplined teams of internal and external staff. You will work closely with our senior staff and will have exposure to a wide variety of projects within a performance-based culture. Do you love designing project layouts, identifying appropriate components to source and creating preliminary electrical and civil design drawings? Then this position maybe for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting preliminary project feasibility analysis by modelling the site’s potential solar resource, wind and snow loading on the array and loads effecting the likely foundation or racking design
- Comply with local and national code requirements in project jurisdictions
- Create project bill of materials
- Complete electrical and structural permit package for photovoltaic projects ready to be reviewed by a PEng.
- Modelling the potential use of energy storage for the provision of ancillary services and generating greater value for our clients
- Identify and optimize the project model by selecting the appropriate components to meet the project requirements
- Collaborate with team to improve project management processes
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path tasks
- Support the development team with other project tasks as required

COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Project management skills
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Sketchup, or related software
- Experience with software such as PVCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, AuroraSolar, etc
- Proven ability to set up energy modeling assumptions based on project’s location and complexity of site conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with designing and/or constructing solar electric systems
- Knowledge or ability to learn Canadian Electrical Code and local building codes
- An understanding of North American construction methods, regulations, site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to work 4:30pm-2:30am IST
- Access to stable, high speed internet connection capable of video conferencing
