What impact you'll make: Lead the team of Customer Project Engineering for Asia in the execution of GT, ST, GEN, and HRSG projects with clear SQDC accountability and ITR mindset. This team represents a simplified, regional organization to enable faster decision making closer to the customer. Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent, functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. Activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Serves as the Manager to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects. Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractor with ITR mindset.
- Manages team of senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation. provides day-to-day leadership and direction to the team members; allocates projects to PE’s in an optimized way for the assigned portfolio of work; supports defining key project engineering execution strategies with utmost customer focus; provides technical leadership and guidance in the scope of responsibility.
- leads the team to fulfill GE and Customer requirements, by applying process rigor such as design reviews, design freezes & tollgates, EHS in Design and compliance to technical rules and standards; Owns the operational metrics and KPI’s.
- develops, mentors, and coaches team members and nurtures employee engagement; secures competences and promotes an environment for furthering and sharing knowledge and integration of experience feedback.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work. drives implementation and adherence to change control process in projects. drives engineering productivity and identifies and implements lean processes.
- supports harmonization and standardization of tools, processes and technical specifications to optimize cost and time;
- Promote ITR mindset, collaboration, teamwork across ITR value chain among the team. Listen, get feedback from downstream engineering functions, Plant Engineering teams and PEMs to understand opportunities for improvement to improve SQDC and customer experience.
- Drive culture of sharing the lessons learnt, RCA, ensure implementation of actions to prevent such mistakes/leakages.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Customer Project Engineering. At least 10 years of experience in Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, or Generator products, application engineering, project engineering, or design engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of engineering tools and standards
- Knowledge of project management fundamentals
- Preferably within the Power Plant Industry in an international project environment
- Strong familiarity with GE core technologies.
