About the Opportunity
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales, tendering, negotiation and contracting processes as well as the relationships with clients and stakeholders across the APAC offshore markets. The role will develop go to market and bidding strategies, enabling winning solutions and meeting or exceeding of the sales targets. From the promotion of products and services, and bidding solutions to existing clients, to seeking new clients and undertaking stakeholder engagement, to identifying risks to the JFR's achievement of sales targets - there will be plenty to get involved in!
There will be opportunities to develop into Senior Sales/ Commercial Management role with the growth of the business.
This role will require travel to customers, roadshows, trade fairs in the region, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the JFR Head of APAC and Global Head of Sales in identifying and developing new accounts.
- Managing sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to bid submission, providing support to the JFR tender team for preparation of proposals.
- Drive and complete bid / no-bid process securing winning solutions and ensure contract signing as per group guidelines.
- Develop and co-ordinate contract winning solutions.
- Work closely with JFR tender team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs and drive solutions.
- Ensure strong working relationship with all departments in JFR, associated entities in Taiwan / APAC and shareholders.
- Develop strong relationships with external and internal customer and collaboration partners and manage relationships until contract signing and handover to the project team.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and follow-up on any submitted proposals to understand client buying preferences and drivers.
- Support the JFR Head of APAC, JFR Global Head of Sales and senior management team with other requests as required.
- Attend client meetings in support of the JFR Head of APAC, JFR Global Head of Sales and other management team.
- Attend industry, government and other stakeholder events and report to management on any issues that may impact company’s activities and the achievement of the business goals.
- Conduct market research and give insights to the business as well as staying abreast of the industry and report on market intelligence including client strategy and development, industry trends and new products and services.
- Create go-to market bidding strategies to ensure fulfilment of strategy.
- Provide an effective channel for customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor the junior commercial team members.
- Drive successful negotiations on contracts and secure commercial and contractual terms are in line with the company’s guidelines and contracting principles.
- Ensure effective project handovers are completed after each successful contract award to project, HSQE, finance and all corresponding departments.
About the Candidate
- Relevant university degree or qualification, combined with extensive commercial and negotiation experience and strong technical understanding from Renewables or other Energy industry.
- Previous experience in sales and/or commercial areas in service businesses, preferably offshore wind.
- Solid understanding of good sales and business development practices, and practical experience of the standard contracting methods.
- Track record of delivering sales results and meeting financial KPIs.
- Organised, accurate and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical with the ability to develop business cases and proposals.
