The Solar Foreman will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of solar installations, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar installation, battery installation and management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for renewable energy

What you will do:
You will be responsible for the PV solar & battery installation from beginning to end - supervising crews, assisting as a technical resource, coordinating installation times, managing the roof installation, and handling the AC and DC electrical aspects of the project. This role requires strong knowledge and experience of all aspects of the PV solar and battery installation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- PV Solar and Battery installation
- Crew management as assigned by the Superintendent
- Read permit-ready plan sets and analyze and provide appropriate solutions should issues arise
- Lead, train, and supervise the roof crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and up to Simply Solar standards
- Responsible for electrical tie-in and assisting with roof construction
- Layout and mount hardware on multiple roof types
- Install AC and DC disconnects
- Read and analyze permit-ready plan sets, providing appropriate solutions when issues arise
- Document the installation process, communicating effectively with our operations division
- Install and troubleshoot PV system monitoring
- Proficient in duties required for subordinate roles
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in PV Solar installation required (3+ years)
- Knowledge of and experience with electrical wiring/AC and DC systems required
- Solar electrician experience preferred
- Experience leading and training a crew preferred
- Experience with ground mounts or batteries preferred
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Valid CA Driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check
- Ability to work safely and confidently on roofs with ladder access (no fear of heights, healthy respect for safety concerns, and proper use of safety equipment is required).
- Must be able to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks: up to 50 pounds individually, and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Prolonged periods of repetitive duties including lifting, bending, and standing
- Work is performed outdoors, frequently in harsh conditions (inclement weather, extreme hot and cold temperatures, roofs, crawl spaces, extreme heights)
