Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager will lead business development efforts for Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across the Middle East. The role involves identifying, evaluating, and developing new opportunities, managing partnerships, and driving projects to financial closure. This position contributes to the company’s growth while ensuring all processes are followed and project requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate solar and wind project opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, and assess BESS integration for optimized project design.
- Identify and evaluate potential EPC contractors, BESS suppliers, and partners. Ensure technology meets project needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop technical and financial bids. Ensure all contracts are compliant with project and RFP standards.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions. Ensure proper handover of documentation to implementation teams.
- Maintain relationships with government bodies, contractors, and service providers to drive project success.
- Work with Project Finance to negotiate financing terms and manage the financial closure of projects.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree
- 10+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, particularly Solar, Wind, and BESS. This is with in The Gulf region.
- Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of IPPs and PPPs.
- Ability to lead negotiations and manage senior-level relationships.
- Experience in the Middle East market is a must and combined experience should be more than 1,5 GW worth of projects
