Program Description
Longroad Energy’s internship program provides opportunities for undergraduate students from underrepresented communities to explore careers in renewable energy. In 2025, Longroad will offer paid internship positions that create challenging hands-on learning experiences for college juniors, entering their senior year in the Fall. Selected interns will participate in a 10–12-week summer program that includes onboarding, structured work experience, mentoring, and exposure both to department-specific and company-wide personnel and activities.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Manager of Origination & Development Operations, the Intern will be assigned a project to complete over the course of the internship, likely related to market research and/or database management. Intern will also be expected to support the daily activities of the team as described below.
Ability to work from the Boston office (125 High Street) at least 3x a week.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Assist in the preparation of written proposals in response to Requests for Proposal (RFP) for renewable energy agreements.
- Create and maintain marketing materials for presentation to customers, partners, etc.
- Manage database(s) to track development team activities.
- Perform market research to identify market opportunities and risks.
- Prepare materials for management presentations
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student at a 4-year college
- Preferred major in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or Environmental Studies, but other majors will be considered
- Strong written and organizational skills
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Interest in Renewable Energy industry
- Curiosity, and desire to ask questions
- Self-starter
- Cover letter highly preferred
