MAJOR DUTIES: MAJOR DUTIES: Historic research, analysis, and writing on the history of December 7th 1941 attack on O'ahu, WWII in the Pacific, and the park memorials (USS Arizona, Utah, and Oklahoma), Preparing compliance documents and packages for the National Historic Preservation Act and National Environmental Policy Act. Organizing historic documents, archives, photographs, bibliographies, and research materials. Design, conduct, and produce transcriptions for oral history research. Provide public interpretive programs on the history of December 7th, 1941, attack on O'ahu and WWII in the Pacific, Physical Demands: The work is sedentary, but at times requires travel to repositories of information, and may require visits to remote sites which require walking or riding over rough, uneven surfaces. Documentary research and report writing work is sedentary, which entails the ability to concentrate and write for long periods of time. Working Conditions: Most work is performed in offices, archives, and libraries.
