The Opportunity…
Grid Alternatives is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing all purchase orders while ensuring their accuracy, timely completion, and delivery. This role ensures compliance with procurement guidelines across regions, resolves delivery issues including storage, claims, and adjustments, and operates delivery vehicles, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as needed. They oversee commercial purchasing for regional and headquarters projects, ensuring procured commercial equipment meets project timelines. Additionally, the role involves managing equipment purchasing requests from various departments and performing other duties as assigned. This position will be an in person position based out of the Distribution warehouse located in Fresno CA.
Job Duties
- Oversee all purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely completion and delivery
- Ensure regions are following set procurement guidelines
- Resolves delivery issues, including storage, claims, and adjustments
- Operates delivery vehicles, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as required
- Utilizing safe and proper storage methods, maintains storage areas and warehouse equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Prepares, reviews, and conducts accurate monthly inventory counts.
- Maintains an accurate physical and virtual inventory
- Oversee Commercial purchasing for regional and HQ projects.
- Coordinate procured commercial equipment to meet project timelines.
- Oversee equipment purchasing requests from various departments
- Other job duties may be assigned
What you need to bring to this role…
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Two to Four years of purchasing or related field experience required, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Federal Acquisition Regulation experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices and industry trends.
- Knowledge of solar energy products and industry trends is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
- Be a “self-starter” and goal-driven.
Where you will sit and the places you may go…
This position may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($17.86-$29.67 per hour), plus the benefits below.
