JOB SUMMARY: This position is in Region 2, Air and Radiation Division, Air Programs Branch, Air Planning Section. About: Region 2 This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Provide policy and procedural guidance to state, local, and tribal air agencies on the development of regulations, required revisions, and source-specific actions for State (SIP) and/or Tribal Implementation Plans (TIP). Evaluate and analyze proposed SIP/TIP revisions to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, review their enforceability, and develop technical documentation to support Agency decisions and related rule-makings. Serve as a technical expert to State, Local, and Tribal agencies to assist with the implementation of SIPs and TIPs and utilize data to ensure compliance with the Clean Air Act and other applicable federal rules and regulations. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
