SUMMARY
Sustainability Project Coordinator (SPC) will work within the Facilities and Operations team to identify opportunities for reducing carbon emissions, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable practices throughout the organization. This can include initiatives such as reducing waste and energy consumption, promoting recycling and sustainable transport, and engaging with stakeholders to promote sustainability goals. The SPC will be responsible for tracking and reporting on the organization’s sustainability performance and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays, to cover high-profile concerts and NBA games.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing actionable strategies that fit the organization's goals and responsibilities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute project plans effectively.
- Identify, collect, and maintain data from various sources, internal and external to the organization, for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reporting and other sustainability indicators.
- Research and prepare reports and presentations describing findings, recommendations, and overall environmental impacts of decisions, as requested.
- Assist with maintaining sustainability programs and initiatives by researching, communicating with internal and external partners, and contributing to operations as assigned.
- Support outreach efforts to internal and external partners regarding general sustainability information, including waste reduction, GHG emission reduction, and overall sustainability progress.
- Develop and conduct sustainability training workshops for full and part-time staff.
- Take on ad hoc projects as they come.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability, Project Management). Relevant sustainability experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Two years of experience in a related field of Sustainability.
- Knowledge and understanding of sustainability concepts, waste management practices, energy efficiency practices, and Greenhouse Gas reporting protocols.
- Experience collecting and analyzing large amounts of data, identifying trends, and generating reports and graphics.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidate must be self-motivated and have ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing tasks.
