The PMO Squad is seeking an experienced senior Environmental Project Manager for a direct hire position with our client who specializes in environmental investigation, design, and construction remediation projects. This will be an onsite role with some remote flexibility, that will cover two sites in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will be experienced in construction remediation project management and should be willing to grow and develop with the needs of the organization.
Our client is executing a large-scale remedial action to clean up low-level radioactive waste (uranium, thorium, and radium) on numerous commercial, municipal, and residential properties in two separate areas of St. Louis. The dedicated team of on-site personnel performs radiological characterization and remediation efforts.
Position: Environmental Project Manager - Direct Hire
Salary: $99,258 - $153,850k/yr. DOE
Location: Hazelwood, MO | St. Louis metro area. *Candidates willing to relocate will be considered w/relocation assistance provided by client.
Site Requirements: 4-days onsite (Mon-Thurs) | 1 day remote/flex (Fri.)
Responsibilities and Experience:
- 10+ years of project management experience managing environmental investigation, design, and remediation projects.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction to a diverse dedicated project team of engineers, geologists, CAD specialists & other technical staff. Oversee the development of studies and strategies for remediation of contaminated media.
- Experience with Cost Reimbursable Contracts experience (ex: NASA, construction, etc.); experience with federal government contracting.
- Ability to provide leadership and direction of engineering support to construction operations to ensure successful execution of field work.
- Experience with successful line/organization management of technical staff including development of performance objectives, personnel reviews and hiring/mentoring of staff.
- Direct development of engineering studies, plans, designs, specifications and engineering/construction submittals for the remediation of contaminated media. Ensure accuracy of cost estimates and quality assurance documents.
- Ability to work in a highly regulated field.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field required.
- Master's degree in comparable field(s) a plus!
- PMP, PgMP, and/or other applicable professional or technical certification in chosen field (such as PE or PG) .
- Experience with FUSRAP and/or USACE contracting preferred a plus!
