Your contribution:
As a Manager Energy and Environment (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the development, implementation, supervision, and continuous improvement of our Energy Management and Compliance Programs of our plants within the EMEA region.
Key responsibilities:
Coach the plants and HQ functions to comply with requirements on ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management System)
Work closely with the group of internal auditors.
Report the performance of the energy management system, energy consumption and cost of energy, as well as CO2 emissions and other strategic KPIs in relation to the company energy programs and related legal obligations.
Identify and evaluate energy reduction technologies, which can be applied in the region by creating a Best Practice knowledge repository based on solutions identified internally and in the industry.
Develop a regional Three-year energy reduction program (Energy Hunt) in all our EMEA locations.
Develop and put in place a regional data base for energy and sustainability data, including necessary investments to ensure legal compliance in future.
Work with risk assessment to ensure a risk mitigation program driven by priorities.
Be involved in regional sustainability programs.
Support the setup of environmental accruals together with Finance.
Education, skills, and experience:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a similar field
Solid working experience in Energy and/or Environmental Sustainability
Ideally certification as Environmental and Energy Management Specialist (Beauftragte/r)
Ideally certification as an internal auditor
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
English fluent
Bonus: German and/or Spanish language skills
