ABOUT YOU
- 3-5 years of health, safety, and environment experience required, manufacturing industry preferred
- CSP, CIH, CHMM certifications preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or Business
- Working knowledge of safety codes, OSHA 1910, EPA regulations, and other regulatory agencies
- Working knowledge of environmental codes, EPA, and other regulatory agencies
- Experience with Lean Problem Solving (8D/A3 tools), Incident Investigation, and Root Cause Analysis
- Leadership experience, developing and driving initiatives
- Experience preparing and delivering HSE trainings
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The noise level in the plant is usually moderate to high. Ear plugs may be required in some areas of the plant. Employees are required to wear safety shoes and safety glasses throughout the plant.
