GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is seeking an Environmental Assistant Project Manager to support our environmental site assessment, investigation and remediation practice in our Grand Rapids, MI office. As an Environmental Assistant Project Manager, you will work as part of a team of dedicated project managers and a staff of interrelated professionals under the guidance of a Principal or Project Manager. You will assist with scoping and executing environmental assessments and investigations, compiling and interpreting data, create conceptual site models, report writing, screening, selecting remedial technologies and implementing and monitoring applied remedial methods. All tasks are completed under a project schedule and budget.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Planning, organizing and conducting environmental site investigations
- Planning, organizing and conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Overseeing and documenting environmental field activities
- Conducting/reviewing technical analyses/calculations
- Developing health and safety plans and managing implementation and compliance with GZA Health and Safety programs, policies, and procedures during on-site activities
- Monitoring subcontractor performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets
- Preparing environmental reports and work plans with Project Manager and Principal guidance and review
- Providing business development support and assisting in proposal preparation
- Communicating effectively and efficiently with clients and team members
- Availability to work Monday through Friday and some evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel locally and regionally

What You’ll Be brining:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related Environmental Science discipline
- 3 - 5 years of experience at consulting engineering firm(s) and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations of Michigan
- Ability to perform and manage field tasks and activities
- Experience executing a wide range of environmental site investigation and site remediation projects
- Strong dedication to safety
- Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
- Demonstrate professional judgment, consistency, strong attention to detail, and background of high-quality work products
- Demonstrate performance of independent analysis, problem solving and strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
- Completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
- A valid driver’s license in good standing
