Main Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain a clear commercial global business plan outlining all key activities for how H&P will market and commercialize the introduction of new sustainable products into the product portfolio, aligned with the different regions within H&P (SEA/ISC, China, EMEA, Americas).
Raise the profile of H&P Division being the thought leader in glove sustainability work externally and internally by devising and activating plans for Plant, Procurement, Glove OEMs; Glove Distributors and End Users.
Support Synthomer‘s overall strategic plan for corporate sustainability, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Develop strategies to ensure senior management is kept aware of important relevant corporate sustainability developments.
Represent the H&P business for internal Company communication and coordination for company-wide sustainability initiatives.
Lead in the discussion with selected customers in the initiating Sustainability projects involving LCA study, Joint Seminar with end users; facilitation of workshops to promote sustainability projects with the aim of energy reduction (with SyNovus NBR Technology), water intensity reduction and increase circularity via external partnership in pre-sales glove recycling efforts.
Guide and support in the upstream suppliers’ corrective action process in primary data accounting and together with procurement, works towards a well define path to meet Synthomer’s internal SBTi targets for 2030.
Key Delivery:
Oversee the H&P Sustainability program covering both divisional target in Scope 1&2, Scope 3 and lead in the development of the commercialization various programs with selected customers. This will include defining and agreeing key commercial targets (including volume, unit gross margin)
Work with procurement team to present to the key monomer suppliers on H&P commercial update and work in a team to drive suppliers to meet our primary data target. Lead in the business development of the H&P sustainability programs in developing of the product and service offerings. These include working with selected customers to initiate key sustainable programs via workshop and monitor its execution.
Develop sales pipeline and ensure balance of LCA, Joint Seminar, New sustainability via workshop and JDA are kept to meet the 2025 and 2030 products sales target.
For SyNovus Plus commercialization program, work closely with TS and AIC to conduct the preliminary LCA study.
Chair H&P sustainability team meeting consists of cross functional team from plant, procurement, R&D, Marketing and commercial team – ensue the dashboard timeline is met.
A member of the Sustainability Delivery Team (SDT) who oversees the Synthomer global sustainability implementation.
Cascade the key message and communicate/operationalize the corporate programs to the divisional / regional sustainability plan
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in customer and/or supplier relationship management with experience of negotiation and contract agreement
Global perspective, experience and/or a plus bachelor’s degree or higher in energy management, environmental science, policy, engineering, sustainable development or related field.
A minimum of 5 years experience working in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and/or sustainability
Experience working with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
Familiarity with the chemical or glove industry, and other CSR standard-setting organizations a plus CSR business strategy, public reporting and/or marketing experience preferred.
Incumbent needs high attention to detail, needs to be self-starting, have good business acumen, and be a good communicator up and down the organization; prior experience in the sustainability initiative involving Scope 1 &2 and Scope 3 is an advantage.
