Role SummaryAs a Sr. Product Manager in the Vehicle Software team at Rivian, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering excellent end customer experiences. You will closely partner with software engineering and design partners throughout the product lifecycle while identifying key outcomes. Your responsibilities will include managing the software roadmap for your assigned area, detailed definition of initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality customer experiences that transforms our owners into brand advocates.To excel in this role, you must possess exceptional communication, education, listening, organizational and negotiation skills to influence teams across the organization. Including software engineering, senior leadership, design, system test, marketing, brand, communications, vehicle service, customer support, business strategy, voice of the customer, pricing, legal, operations, and privacy teams, to name a few.
Responsibilities- Define the software product strategy and roadmap for your given area of responsibility
- Experience in collaboration with key stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Gather and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to identify new product opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document detailed product requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and user needs.
- Prioritize features and functionality based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
- Lead the product development process, including coordinating with software engineers, designers, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality software releases.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform product decisions and validate product concepts.
- Track and analyze key product metrics, user feedback, and performance data to measure the success of product initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the software product portfolio, providing guidance and support to internal teams, customers, and external partners.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of strong software product management experience, ideally with a consumer product
- Understanding of AI and machine learning trends, and how they can apply to the application layer product experience while creating automation for internal teams.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of vehicle software systems, automotive technologies, and industry trends.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus.
- Passion for technology, electric vehicles, and the automotive industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Pay DisclosureSalary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $121,500-$165,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
