Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, testing, and release of complex, mission-critical infrastructure services for Rivian's ADAS team.
- Set up fault-tolerant, multi-region environments to support data operations and applications.
- Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and data projects.
- Streamline developers' workflows by automating repetitive tasks and optimizing development processes.
- Collaborate closely with the security and privacy teams to perform audits, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work alongside cross-functional ADAS teams to support development, integration, and deployment efforts.
- Work on distributed and large-scale systems, optimizing workloads and collaborating on the development of machine learning (ML) infrastructure.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Define and implement the on-call strategy, actively participating in on-call rotations to support infrastructure and services.
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in SRE or ML/Dev/DataOps role.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, scaling, and managing production infrastructure in complex environments.
- 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes, AWS services like S3, Lambda, EKS, ECS, RDS, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, etc.
- 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- 5+ years of experience monitoring applications in the cloud using tools like Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, or Prometheus.
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and/or GitOps patterns using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Flux, Argo, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Python or Go is a strong plus
- Experience working with distributed computing environments and workloads, using frameworks like Ray, Dask, Apache Spark, or TensorFlow is a strong plus.
- AWS or Cloud Native certification is a plus.
