Role Summary:
Responsible as the NAR point of contact for developing, localizing and testing High Voltage Batteries (cells, modules, pack, testing), as well as vehicle related systems (charging, high/low voltage systems, thermal management, energy management) and project management for the NAR High Voltage Battery Systems. Driving local innovation and collaborating with local research partners.
Role Responsibilities:
Operational Management – 70%
·Lead all NAR development, localization and testing of High Voltage Batteries (cells, modules, pack) according to VW Group standards and in close alignment with VW CoE in Germany
·Lead all NAR development, localization and testing of vehicle systems and components (charging, high/low voltage systems, thermal management, energy management) according to VW Group standards and in close alignment with VW Engineering in Germany
·Lead project management for High Voltage Batteries for new projects and model care in terms of technology, timing, cost and supply in close alignment with VW CoE in Germany and NAR vehicle projects
·Support all NAR High Voltage Battery assembly facilities during industrialization and daily production
·Manage supplier evaluation initiatives, qualification processes, and supports localization of new suppliers
·Supervise the preparation and presentation of budgets, headcount, and investment plans as well as manages and monitors currentbudgets
·Set strategic targets leads Managers to the definition and achievement ofgoals
·Supervise Managers and the specification of the business plans; supports and guides planning and expansion phases and regularreviews
·Locate, acquire and retain extraordinary talent for the ramp-up phase of the Energy System Team and futuregrowth
·Monitor compliance with relevant regulations, statutes, Board Directives, process standards (including in respect of Golden Rules and Product Compliance), procedural/operating instructions and occupational safety regulations using appropriate management controls (dual-control principle)
·Assure the qualification of employees for the defined tasks
Product optimization – 20%
·Lead cost down measures by reducing variance, part optimization and identification of local standards
·Lead product optimization measures for High Voltage Batteries and whole vehicle functions (e.g. range, charging) in terms of cost, performance and customer experience
·Support quality optimizations
Innovation and research – 10%
·Drive local innovation and collaborate with external vendors and research partners
·Run research projects with local universities
Qualifications:
Years of Experience:
·10+ years in a leadership role, preferred
· 5+ years of automotive High Voltage Battery and EV Systems experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - required
- Master’s Degree in Engineering - desired

Work Flexibility:
- Regular travel to worldwide locations required
