Reporting to the Head of Project Management, the Project Manager is a vital role responsible for overseeing the project lifecycle from FEL-2 (Preliminary Design) through to execution, with a strong focus on robust EPC management. This role involves spearheading EPC activities, ensuring project delivery aligns with technical specifications, budget, and timeline, along with leading the preparation and presentation of Decision Support Packages (DSPs) at Gate Review meetings.
Responsibilities
EPC Management:
- Lead and manage all EPC activities on the Owner’s side during the project execution phase;
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and technical requirements.
Lifecycle Management from FEL-2 to Execution:
- Oversee project development from Preliminary Design through Detailed Design, Planning, and robust EPC Execution;
- Ensure seamless transition and alignment between each phase, adhering to project goals and strategies.
Decision Support Packages (DSPs):
- Co-develop and co-present comprehensive DSPs at Gate Review meetings;
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate critical project data into DSPs.
Project Planning and Scope Management:
- Create detailed project plans, defining scope, resources, and timelines;
- Manage project scope changes, ensuring minimal impact on schedule and budget.
Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain active engagement with all stakeholders, providing regular updates;
- Manage expectations and negotiate solutions to stakeholder concerns.
Risk and Quality Assurance:
- Implement rigorous risk management processes and quality assurance standards;
- Regularly assess project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams across all EPC disciplines;
- Cultivate a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Oversee project budgeting and financial management, ensuring cost-effectiveness;
- Monitor expenditure and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Compliance with Safety and Environmental Standards:
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the EPC process;
- Promote sustainable and safe work practices in all project activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven track record in managing EPC projects, preferably in green hydrogen and ammonia production.
Skills:
