Job Overview:
The Commercial Solar Installer will assist with solar installation projects in the tri-state area. The solar installer is responsible for assembling and installing roof or ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) modules in compliance with the site assessments and schematics.
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, or other employees.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 Years of experience in solar installation preferred.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- General construction knowledge preferred
- Ability to work with all types of hand-held and power tools
- OSHA 10/OSHA 30 preferred
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, hoisting, anchoring, and placing solar modules and racking.
- Install photovoltaic solar racking and modules in accordance with codes and standards, using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers in a respectful, professional manner.

- Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 pounds daily.
- Ability to walk on uneven, slippery, and muddy conditions

- Ability to operate and maneuver on and off an all-terrain vehicle throughout the day.
Will be subject to other physical activities required, to include climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and range of vision necessary to safely perform job functions.
