Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 plus annual bonus

We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to serve as the key communicator and project manager within the company to drive portfolios of projects from early-stage site diligence to operating assets. You will regularly engage with clients, contractor contacts externally, and key stakeholders internally to advance projects forward. You will leverage strong project management, account management, and construction management experience. The successful candidate will know how to lead and support depending on circumstances, adjusting dynamically to meet team objectives.

- Experience with residential solar, energy storage and utility interconnection projects
- Excellent people and process manager focused on delivering projects on time, on budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with solar / battery project development cycle and related design tools
- Working knowledge of critical system components such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, inverters, transformers, control systems, etc.
- Ability to analyze solar and battery related incentives and economics and their impact on business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive projects with competing deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and with collaborative remote stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional team members from other disciplines
What You'll Do:
- Drive all aspects of Project Development and Delivery including interdependencies with other departments.
- Manage internal and external projects and portfolio stakeholders.
- Serve as key point of contact for client throughout the design and delivery process.
- Coordinate with designers, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of key project deliverables.
- Closely manage contractor partners to adhere to contract terms and project goals, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Prepare critical issues analysis to support development decisions.
- Support Financial approval process as a key contributor of Investment Memos
- Perform site visits to meet with contractors or client contacts as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned and/or directed.
- This position reports to the Director of Development & Planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Science or similar academic degree focused on electrical engineering, power systems, systems engineering or a Construction Management or similar degree.
- 3-7 years professional experience in relevant field (Engineering, Construction, Utility, Project Management)
- Demonstrated strong organization, planning, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of energy markets, utility incentive programs, and the renewable energy industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Business suites, and Smartsheets
- Candidates based on the West Coast are preferred.
