**Job Summary:**
The Civil Supervisor Engineer will oversee the civil construction aspects of solar projects, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing on-site activities, and ensuring the quality and safety of all civil engineering works.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Project Planning and Coordination:**
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project specifications and requirements.
2. **On-Site Supervision:**
- Supervise all on-site civil construction activities, including earthworks, foundations, structural work, and related tasks.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes.
3. **Quality Control:**
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify any issues or deviations from the project plan.
4. **Health and Safety:**
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
- Investigate and report on any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
5. **Resource Management:**
- Manage the allocation and utilization of on-site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and within the project budget.
6. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and material usage.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
7. **Stakeholder Communication:**
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Address any queries or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively.
8. **Problem Solving:**
- Identify potential issues or risks to project timelines and budgets, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to resolve on-site challenges.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in supervising civil construction projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Previous experience in solar project execution.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other civil engineering design software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
