We are currently seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Green Hydrogen Plant. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment essential for the production of green hydrogen. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of renewable energy solutions and play a key role in the growth of the hydrogen industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Design: Design mechanical systems and components for the hydrogen production process, including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and storage tanks. Ensure designs meet performance requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Equipment Selection and Specification: Select and specify mechanical equipment and materials, considering factors such as efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with process requirements. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure equipment.
- Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems. Coordinate with contractors and construction teams to ensure installations are carried out according to design specifications.
- Maintenance and Reliability: Develop preventive maintenance plans and schedules for mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and maximize reliability. Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for mechanical systems and equipment. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards associated with mechanical operations.
- Energy Efficiency and Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and optimize mechanical systems to reduce energy consumption and operational costs. Implement measures such as equipment upgrades or process modifications as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of mechanical designs, equipment specifications, maintenance records, and incident reports. Prepare regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and reliability metrics.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Process Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Operations staff to integrate mechanical systems with overall plant operations and achieve production targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience of 5-8 Years in mechanical design, installation, and maintenance, preferably in an industrial or process plant environment.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ANSYS.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI) applicable to mechanical equipment in industrial settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
