Who we’re looking for:
Getting our people home safely to their families every day is our top priority and your role is vital in influencing Project Managers to achieve health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) excellence. You will be a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and strong technical expertise to:
- Steer the development and implementation of HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirements
- Undertake audits and inspections
- Work closely with senior management to prepare reports
- Motivate and educate BMD employees to champion best practice use of our systems
- Develop work method statements, project plans and inspection and test plans
- Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:
- a qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV)
- knowledge of current legislation, standards and industry requirements.
- qualifications in training and assessment (highly desirable)
- prior experience in the construction industry
- ability to travel as and when required from project to project in the SA region
