Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspector - Wind Farm
Location: Eastern Cape, South Africa
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with Wind turbines
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and
experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our clients team for a wind
farm project in the Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in electrical systems, specifically turbines and transformers, with
additional expertise in welding inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct
thorough inspections of wind turbine and transformer installations to
ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform
various types of welding inspections, including visual inspection (VT),
ultrasonic testing (UT), and radiographic testing (RT).
- Adhere
to and enforce safety standards and regulations during all inspections.
- Document
and report findings, ensuring accurate and timely communication with
project management and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate
with the construction and engineering teams to address and rectify any
identified issues or defects.
- Maintain
up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and advancements in QC
inspection techniques.
Requirements:
- Minimum
of 5 years of experience in quality control, specifically with turbines
and transformers.
- Excellent
attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong
communication and reporting skills.
- Ability
to work independently and as part of a team.
- A
diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering,
- Must
Be An South African or A south African Perm Residency holder
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency
in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Knowledge
of safety and environmental regulations in the renewable energy sector
