Our client is an ever-growing green energy company at the forefront of their industry that is looking to bring on a new U.S. International Tax Manager to their Chicago office!
This is the perfect job for someone who wants to do something more forward-looking and really get into the business. The company is doing 50-60 M&A transactions (mostly acquisitions) annually so this person will be involved with the tax ramifications of those transactions. They will also have key oversight for international taxes, financial reporting, and manage a cross-functional team of tax professionals.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing all U.S. international tax compliance matters, including review of all foreign entities’ U.S. tax returns (Form 5471, 8865, and 8858) prepared by external tax
- Review foreign tax credit calculations and Form 1118
- Responsible for managing and reviewing U.S. country-by-country reporting, including coordination with our local offices for local notification filings
- Review Schedule K-2 and K-3 for complex partnership tax returns
- Manage all aspects of the international income tax provision (ASC 740)
- Oversee and support the Company’s international offices for their in-country tax compliance
- Lead in managing Common Reporting Standard (CRS), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), preparation and review of W-8, and global transfer pricing, including coordination with local offices
- Responsible for filling applications of U.S. residency certificates
- Assist with process and technology improvement initiatives
- Manage business processes and/or projects, set priorities and measurable objectives, monitor and report on the process, progress, and results
- Manage outside service providers
- Works to enhance the organization's capabilities through effective team building, staffing, and development of others
- Manage and mentor junior staff to achieve business results
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field;
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience with responsibilities listed above in a multinational company or professional firm
- Proficiency with software and system applications (OneSource, Oracle, Excel, MS Word, etc.), and ability to learn internal applications
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
