Overview
At Quorum Software, our Product Owners lead the charge in innovating and executing new products and features. We are looking for leaders who can dive into an industry, understand the value of the product or new features, communicate the vision to product teams and guide them towards the completion of projects.
Our Product Owners work closely with our product development teams, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to drive vision and strategy and deliver products that meet our user and business objectives.

Responsibilities
- Work directly with product management, engineering team(s), and other stakeholders to ensure the solution meets the product vision and business objectives
- Communicate the overall product vision to team(s)
- Translate business needs and set priorities from product Release Plan to guide the work of the team(s)
- Communicate ongoing risks, scope trade-offs, and timeline impacts to stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Manage dependencies in and across sprints and releases
- Review test plans prepared by QA group; identify testing risks and contribute to the overall management of project and risk plans
- Coordinate issues, tracking, and resolution on high level, complex release plans, including major feature enhancements
- Map product backlog items (user stories) to agile iterations (sprints); coordinates dependencies with other Product Owners
- Work as a member of the team(s) to facilitate the sizing (grooming) of team backlog items; reviews and approves team backlog items; and ensures consistent team flow
- Participates in the development of story acceptance criteria; validates that story meets acceptance criteria with appropriate acceptance testing completed; only member of the team empowered to accept user stories as done
- Participates in the iteration retrospective to determine areas of improvement for future iterations
- Performs system demos\reviews to gain feedback from stakeholders
- Provide suggestions based on current and emerging methodologies or tools to improve quality, delivery and reduce costs
- Provide guidance and mentorship to new Product Owners
- And other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least five years of experience working in a cross-functional product development environment
- Demonstrated success leading cross functional teams
- Experience in interpreting and defining product requirements
- Must demonstrate superior communication/interpersonal skills and outstanding organizational skills
- Understanding of various software applications and/or methodologies (Agile and Scrum)
- Must be highly organized, methodical and detail oriented; relentless follow up and results oriented
- Comfortable driving teams and management to decisions; willing to push-back for information and answers
- Casual office environment
- Workload occasionally requires evening and/or weekend work
- Business travel outside of office, not expected to exceed 10%
Preferred Skills
- Experience using Azure DevOps (preferred, but not required)
- Exposure and/or education of well operations in the oil & gas industry (preferred, but not required)
