In this pivotal role, you will lead projects that not only advance renewable energy technologies but also enhance communities worldwide, particularly in areas that require sustainable solutions.
You will be part of our multidisciplinary Renewable Energy Team and focus on managing projects, primarily financed by IFIs and multilateral donors.
Your main tasks will be:
- Management of project implementation processes including monitoring and budget and indicator controlling, operations and administration
- Coordinating, supervising and handling of Feasibility Studies, Tendering, Construction Supervision and other forms of technical consultancy services with responsibility for the project team and budget
- Building enabling relationships with clients, partners and colleagues
- Support in the elaboration of technical proposals
- Support in projects with technical expertise
- Finding solutions in challenging environments
Project locations around the globe, services to be performed at our headquarters in Bad Homburg, close to Frankfurt/Main, Germany and abroad.
A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US
- University degree in engineering
- Minimum ten years of experience working on Renewable Energy projects, preferably as a technical consultant
- Minimum five years of project management experience with team and budget responsibility
- Familiarity with the management of international cooperation projects funded by Donors and IFIs (World Bank, KfW, AfDB or similar)
- Technical expertise in at least one Renewable Energy generation technology; best including PV and BESS
- Understanding of the challenges of working in hybrid, multidisciplinary and multicultural teams dispersed in different locations
- Fluency in English is obligatory, additional French or other language skills are an added value
Besides your technical skills, you are communicative, responsible, ready to travel abroad, if required, and know how to use MS Office and MS Teams.
