The focus of Hodge Western Corp over the last 20 years started in heavy civil and evolved into technology-driven, specialty underground utility construction. We operate in three divisions: Renewables, Rock Trenching, and Directional Drilling. Our company works on projects throughout the western, southern, and midwestern United States. We are passionate about executing and growing our specialized methods for complex utility construction to provide our partner customers with significant advantages in both safety and efficiency over traditional means and methods.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- On-site at either our office in Prineville, Oregon or Bentonville, Arkansas
Fleet Management
- Oversee and maintain records for routine maintenance and repairs for all company vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are kept in good working condition to minimize downtime.
- Manage the acquisition, allocation, and disposal of vehicles and equipment.
- Analyze usage patterns and optimize fleet performance to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and control fleet-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for vehicle purchases, parts, and services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with service providers.
Safety Management
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and standards
- Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, including drivers and equipment operators.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and drills to reinforce safety practices.
- Investigate and maintain records of accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of vehicle and equipment mechanics, maintenance, and repair.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple aspects of fleet and safety operations efficiently.
- Effective communication with staff, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding fleet management and safety improvements.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Annual salary $70,000-$120,000 based on experience
