We are working with a long term client who is a leading provider of integrated energy solutions, specialising in ICP (Independent Connection Provider) and renewable energy projects across the UK.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cable Jointer, authorised up to 33kV, to join our FAST growing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our projects, ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of cable networks within our ICP and renewable energy portfolio. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with leading clients, and contribute to the advancement of sustainable energy infrastructure in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cable jointing and termination activities on low and high voltage cables, up to 33kV, in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-jointing and post-jointing tests to ensure the integrity and performance of cable connections.
- Interpret project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to execute jointing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate jointing activities and ensure project milestones are met.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices, to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of jointing activities, including documentation of materials used, test results, and as-built drawings.
- Provide technical expertise and support during project planning, procurement, and commissioning phases as required.
Requirements
- Authorisation up to 33kV for cable jointing and termination activities.
- Relevant qualifications including DNO tickets if possible.
- Proven experience as a Jointer, with a track record of successful jointing projects in the ICP and renewable energy sectors.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
