Operation Assistant

General Purpose:
Provides administrative support to the Supervisors, Leads and Employees engaged in the factory fabrication processes.
Responsibilities:
Production Support
- Prepare Blade Journal Books and Inspection Report Forms (IRF)
- Input Safety Observations in the Safety Walk Corporate system
- Input Incident Management System (IMS) entries as required.
- Update daily the Safety Observation tracking spreadsheet and as needed complete HOAP documents for Safety Hazard recordings.
- Conduct Safety Observations as assigned.
- Attend Daily Shells, Root Joint/SWR; PAS Team meetings and take and distribute meeting notes as assigned.
- Attend other meetings as directed
- Provide support and backup to other Production Assistants and Front Desk when needed.
- Special Projects such as Cycle Times, Down Times, Wurth Reports, etc. as assigned.
- Create presentations (PowerPoint), spreadsheets, etc., as needed
- Update Blade Journal Scanning Log and prepare Journal documents for archiving
- Order materials for production/support teams
- Maintain production support programs such as: Tool cribs, Lockers, Uniforms/Shoes, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
Recruiting/Training/Employee Relations Support
- Support Records management programs such as Training, North American Data Base, I-9’s, etc.
- Support Recruiting programs such as interview scheduling, job observation lab set up, etc.
- Support Admin duties such as: HR employee relations, retention reports, labor law notifications, company store, anniversary program, final pay for terminations, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SAP and additional software programs)
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to complete daily and weekly reports
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous manner
- Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions
Education, Training, and Skills Required:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong natural ability to work in teams, high degree of adaptability & flexibility, strong desire to learn new skills & knowledge, excellent work ethic, dependability &dedication to team/company, personal desire/value to produce quality work, and ability/desire to work as a craftsman with hand tools.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Intermediate level skills/experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook. Beginner level skills with Microsoft Office – Project, preferred but not required.

The employee must be able to: Frequently lift and/or move up to 6 lb of force and to handle work objects, occasionally move up 35 lbs. of force to lift/carry objects, and occasionally push/pull up to 20 lb. Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the duration of the task

Salary Range: $25-$33
