THE FACILITIES MANAGER II POSITION
Sunnova Energy is seeking a seasoned Facility Manager II to oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of satellite offices, small warehouses, and self-storage units across the United States. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in facility management, demonstrating expertise in operational efficiencies, tenant relations, and innovative leadership. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal functioning and compliance of all facility operations within the company’s framework.
FACILITIES MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of satellite offices, warehouses, and storage facilities, ensuring all sites are maintained to high standards.
· Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and employee retention across all locations.
· Compliance and Safety: Liaise with local authorities and ensure all facilities comply with legal and safety standards. Manage emergency response protocols and conduct regular safety drills.
· Financial Oversight: Manage budget allocations, conduct financial forecasting, and control operational expenses to ensure economic efficiency.
· Technology Integration: Implement and manage property management systems and cutting-edge technologies to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
· Sustainability Initiatives: Advocate for and integrate sustainable practices in facility operations to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
· Staff Management and Development: Lead, train, and motivate facility management teams; ensure ongoing professional development and high performance.
· Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication with all levels of management and staff. Organize and chair meetings to address operational issues and collaborative solutions.
· Quality Control: Conduct periodic audits and reviews of facility processes to identify and implement improvements in service delivery.
· Security Management: Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems. Ensure robust protocols are in place to safeguard all facilities.
· Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics for office and warehouse needs, including shipping and receiving operations.
· Business Continuity Planning: Develop and implement business continuity plans to ensure seamless operations during unplanned disruptions. Assist and partner with other facility managers to complete projects and provide coverage in the absence of other managers.
· Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other department heads to ensure facility strategies align with company-wide objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years in facility or property management, preferably with experience managing medium to large portfolios.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional certification in facility management such as CFM or FMP
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Strong leadership and people management skills.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
· Professional level Microsoft Excel, Office 365, Tableau, Smartsheet’s, Concur, Salesforce, and property management software.
· Deep understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
· Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations.
· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and complex situations effectively.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
· A commitment to promoting a team-oriented and high-performance culture.
