Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within established location guidelines.
Responsibilities:
· Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
· Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
· Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
· Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
· Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department
· Mark materials with identifying information
· Open bales, crates, and other containers
· Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
· Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
· Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
· Use computer to enter records
· Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
· Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
· Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments
· Prepare parcels for mailing
· Maintain inventory records
· Safely expedite the transport of hazardous materials and waste, from accumulation sites, to 90-day storage, within strict regulation requirements
· Inspect, weigh, load, document, transport of hazardous materials and waste through shipping and receiving documents, bill of lading, and manifests
· Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste
· And all other duties as assigned
Essential Functions:
· System skills – Microsoft Office, ERP / MRP systems, SAP, and Apriso
· Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions
· Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
· Ability to lift 70 pounds
· Ability to climb ladders
· Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the duration of the task
· Regular & reliable attendance
Education, Training, and Skills Required:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); on the job / other related experience equivalent preferable
· 1 – 3 years of experience/training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
· Systems skills – Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, SAP and Apriso
· Ability to create a safe work area
· Strong natural ability to work in teams
· Good skills driving equipment (as required)
· Good sense for details
· High degree of adaptability & flexibility
· Strong desire to learn new skills and knowledge and utilize information systems
· Excellent work ethic, dependability and dedication to Team/Company
· Personal desire/value to do quality work
