About the role
You will lead a team of technical carbon experts and data and research analysts to develop products that directly drive climate impact.
We're looking for a leader with a strong technical background who can collaborate closely with our agile Product and Growth team to help us create sophisticated solutions for our clients.
What you will be doing
- Lead all carbon markets and research content generation at Abatable
- Manage a team with a diverse set of backgrounds ranging from technical carbon experts to data and research analysts.
- Lead the team to drive new and innovative research product offerings for the Abatable market intelligence and data services. Work closely with the product and growth team to implement the Abatable market intelligence product vision and features, and continue to develop an understanding of product and customer requirements.
- Develop key data and content partnerships and relationships with carbon project developers, intermediaries and buyers.
- Work with the business development and sales teams to develop bespoke market research & data insights that meet client requirements.
- Support the development with the Engineering team of tools which can improve our data management & processes.
- Lead in understanding some of the technical aspects of carbon methodologies, anticipate market developments and collaborate on the functional goals and strategy.
- Actively foster an inclusive and diverse team environment, promoting a sense of belonging and creating opportunities for the team to contribute and be heard.

What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years of related research experience building commentary and narrative from data analysis within the carbon market sector (direct voluntary carbon markets experience required)
- Highly motivated, self-starter willing to take ownership and initiative for developing innovative research products
- Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyse large data sets
- Ability to remain hands-on due to the small nature of the team
- Able to build relationships with industry players, preferably bringing a strong existing network
- Have worked in a product lead company
