POSITION OVERVIEW
Join the Positive Energy Service Team in our quest to keep the solar systems of northern NM up, running, and generating clean energy.
If you love the challenge of figuring out puzzles and troubleshooting electrical equipment and PV systems in a collaborative team environment then this could be the career for you. This full time position reports to the Service Manager and generally works Monday - Friday with some flexibility in the hours. A qualified candidate will be able to manage their own case loads and have some autonomy in scheduling their own service work. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and solar equipment
- Maintain updated Case Records (NetSuite)
- Thorough and timely case documentation including photos and notes
- Work independently to manage and schedule your own service work.
- Set up & troubleshoot data monitoring
- Work with manufacturers to follow required steps and documentation to obtain warranty replacements
- Prompt response to new service cases by coordinating with Case Manager and Customer
- Provide result updates on Service Cases to Service Manager
- Coordinate with Warehouse Team on equipment returns and or replacements.
- Coordinate Service Calls in an efficient manner based on locations
- Maintain stock on the service truck and ensuring it is always clean, serviceable and organized.
- Plan materials needed for service calls; identify new products to solve technical issues.
- Provide feedback to Field Manager on quality issues identified on installations.
- Job duties may vary as necessary to best support the business.
- Travel to job sites required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Residential Journeyman's License - or eligible for exam within 6 months in the position
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Computer skills
- Highly Organized
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
- NEC Code knowledge
- 1-3 years of experience installing with a good foundation of all aspects related to solar systems
- Able to pass a background check
- Have valid driver's license and insurance
- Furnish your own basic set of electrical tools
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Associates degree in electronics, PV, or electrical trades
- NABCEP Installer Certification
- Residential Journeyman electrician license - or eligible for exam within 6 months in the position
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, squat, kneel, walk on uneven surfaces, work with hand tools, work full days outside in inclement weather.
