What to expect:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Development Engineer to join our team in designing and advancing Battery Management Systems (BMS) for cutting-edge energy storage solutions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing hardware and software solutions to ensure the safety, efficiency, and performance of battery systems.
- Design and Development: Develop and optimize BMS hardware and software, focusing on functionalities such as state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health (SOH) estimation, thermal management, and fault detection.
- Testing and Validation: Plan, conduct, and analyze validation tests for BMS components and systems to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Algorithm Development: Create and implement algorithms for battery modeling, balancing, and diagnostics.
- Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the BMS into battery packs and systems, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and document technical specifications, validation reports, and design changes.
- Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve issues related to BMS performance and reliability in laboratory and field settings.
What you bring along:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of BMS experience in industry
- Experience: Hands-on experience in BMS development, including hardware and/or software design
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of battery technologies (Li-ion, Solid-State, etc.).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C), and microcontrollers.
- Understanding of thermal management and power electronics
- good MATLAB/Simulink skills

- Jira, Confluence or similar
- Kanabn, Scrum
- Understanding of vehicle electronics and SW architecture
- Fluent English skills, German is a plus
