As an Assembly Technician on the Ample team, you will manufacture battery modules and related electrical and mechanical subassemblies to exacting specifications and tolerances following established manufacturing, quality, and safety processes and procedures as part of a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
What you’ll do:
- Perform complex assembly work using both manual tools and sophisticated automation equipment
- Assemble electrical and mechanical components to exacting standards
- Following processed and assuring tolerances are met
- Promote team-oriented, cross-functional communication and drive issue escalation relating to process, equipment, material, and quality
- Work safely with high-voltage components, power tools and automation
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with process and 5S standards
- Utilize and maintain personal PPE and safety equipment and follow all established safety processes and procedures
- Receive, inspect and stage incoming materials following FIFO. Monitor line-side stock and escalate any material constraints.
What you’ll bring:
- HS or greater; some college or tech school (certifications), preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Demonstrates versatility as part of a high-volume, team-oriented manufacturing environment
- Experienced with operating and interacting with machinery working in automated or semi-automated assembly cells
- Familiar with the principles and execution of Lean Manufacturing and 5S
- Knowledge of executing quality assurance inspection plans using tools, gauges, fixtures, and keen attention to detail
- High level of manual dexterity and a working knowledge of basic hand/power tools, fasteners, measurement instruments, and adhesives
- Experience working with an MOS, QMS or similar relational database
- Experience working with high-voltage applications, a plus
- Experience with Laser Welder and adhesive dispensing systems, a plus
- Soldering and wire harness/PCB experience, a plus

- Monday - Friday
- 8 am - 4:30 pm
